Arani Construction delivered a full interior renovation of a 1920s character home in Dunbar — a project requiring careful balance between preserving original architectural character and modernizing the kitchen, bathrooms, electrical, and mechanical systems throughout. The scope included a full kitchen rebuild, two bathroom renovations, basement underpinning for a legal secondary suite, and structural upgrades to bring the home up to current code while retaining its original street-facing character.
The project required close coordination with the City of Vancouver’s heritage and permitting requirements for older homes — a common challenge in Vancouver’s character-home neighbourhoods.
